I joined Wrightington Country Club gym in order to get fitter as I race motorbikes and have just moved
up a class onto a faster and heavier bike which takes a lot more physical strength and stamina to handle.

I soon realised that if I was to achieve my goal of being fitter and stronger I would need some motivation.
This is where Suzanne came in. In the first session Suzanne asked me about my goals and what I was training
for and put a specific training plan together, which would enable me to build muscle and stamina without
putting on too much weight.

Since then she has worked on my fitness by creating circuits to carry out and for my strength different activities
in the gym such as TRX, free weights, cables and resistance machines. Every session with Suzanne is varied and
interesting with new exercises to try. I am pushed every session to achieve my goals and as a result my strength
and fitness have greatly improved. I am able to get through a tough weekend riding with many sessions and races
and still be at my top performance from start to finish.

I am currently on my second block booking of sessions and can honestly say I can both see and feel the difference
that training with Suzanne has made.

I would highly recommend Suzanne as she is very friendly and training sessions are never dull or boring.

I was introduced to Suzanne in Wrightington Country Club in April by a friend. After seeing the introduction to the physical training programme and the potentials I was immediately interested in taking up some lessons. I initially booked 5 sessions with Suzanne. My aim is to lose weight, tone my body and lose my belly. Suzanne introduced me to the appropriate training structure and also advised me on a healthy diet. I booked a further 5 sessions – after seeing the initial progress I made and Suzanne’s approach fired me up to learn new work outs and exercises. I have learnt dozens of exercises and work outs from Suzanne, in a safe and progressive way.

Since meeting Suzanne my fitness levels are much higher now and I have lost some weight, toned up my body and lost some of my belly already after 2 months of training. Once Suzanne teaches you the training programme you will remember most of it so you can do it yourself later too!

If you are thinking of Personal Training I would have no hesitation recommending Suzanne, she really does keep you focussed on your goal.

Before I joined Wrightington gym I didn’t do any exercise and hadn’t done for a year. I work shifts and stopped cooking healthy food. I used to get in from work eat junk food, chocolate and watch TV. I hated going shopping for clothes because they clung to areas which I didn’t want anyone to see. I knew something had to change, my energy levels were low my mood was low and I found that I was sleeping 10 hrs a night and napping through the day.

I joined Wrightington gym at the beginning of April 2014 and booked myself in for a free taster session of personal training with Suzanne. I was dreading it as I knew I was unfit and felt slightly embarrassed about the state that I had let myself get into at only 39.

Suzanne was fantastic; she listened to me and knew what my goals were. I told her I wanted to lose weight, get fit and feel better about myself. She started me on Tabatta training, which is interval training, short bursts of exercise followed by short periods of rest. I built this up over the following weeks. Suzanne also helped me do exercises to tone my body, arms chest, back and legs. I saw her every couple of weeks and she changed my routine and explained why she did this. I still continue to go to the gym and continue with the routines that Suzanne has given me, I have a little more to lose but I now feel that I have a better understanding of what it is I need to do in order to achieve that. I have lost 14 lbs since April and 8 inches all over, I no longer eat junk food, I plan my meals better and found that I have more energy, I’m sleeping less and feel healthier and happier in myself.

Suzanne helped motivate me as she is always cheerful and pushes you to your limit. She is friendly and will go out of her way to do what she can to help you, I would definitely recommend her to others and if you are thinking of joining the gym and booking in with a personal trainer don’t waste anymore time make an appointment with her.

I had been trying to get fit for a while now and had made some good progress towards achieving my targets but I had plateaued so I decided to join the gym at Wrightington Country Club. After a few weeks doing my own thing and training inefficiently I decided that I needed some focus on my training and to reassess my goals. I had seen Suzanne working with clients in the gym and she seemed really approachable and she was often encouraging her clients to push themselves harder so I booked an initial taster session with her. I was very impressed with her knowledge and approach that I signed up to the Gold package. At our first session we discussed my goal which was to improve my endurance for a charity event which my children had signed up for – kids raising money for kids – by climbing Mount Snowdon.

Over the next few months, Suzanne worked really hard creating a personalised training program which focused on improving my aerobic capacity and strengthening my core. This program produced some fantastic results for me – I lost a couple of stone in weight and my cardio system improved tremendously. I was doing a whole range of exercises which included Tabata, TRX, interval/circuits, and an all body weight training program. Suzanne’s exercise routines were always new and invigorating and progressively challenging and her motivational skills kept me focused on my goal not just to get myself up Snowdon safely but to make sure I was fit enough to deal with whatever could go wrong whilst helping my children climb too.

Suffice to say I was fully prepared for the climb and this is what it looked like at the top.

 I am still training with Suzanne as I now have new goals to achieve which is testament to her skills, as she has taught me that getting fit is a goal but maintaining your fitness is just as important. Whatever you goals are talk them through with Suzanne, she will work really hard to create an enjoyable and safe, workout and nutritional program. When things get tough she will help you through it and keep you motivated to achieve your end result.
